The City Boy Movement (CBM) has officially appointed Obong Ekpe Eyo Ita Okon as the State Director and Coordinator of the movement in Cross River State, with effect from January 1, 2026.
The confirmation was contained in an appointment letter dated February 5, 2026, issued by the Director-General of the City Boy Movement, Shoga Francis Oluwatosin. According to the letter, the appointment recognizes Eyo’s competence, commitment, loyalty, and proven capacity to inspire, mobilise, and lead across the state.
The national leadership of the City Boy Movement expressed confidence in Eyo’s ability to drive impactful change, particularly in strengthening grassroots structures and mobilising support ahead of the 2027 general elections. The movement noted that his leadership would play a strategic role in advancing youth engagement, civic participation, and electoral mobilisation in Cross River State.

As State Director, Obong Ekpe Eyo Ita Okon is expected to provide visionary and administrative leadership at both state and local government levels, build strong and disciplined organisational structures across constituencies, inspire unity among members and volunteers, and uphold the integrity and reputation of the movement.
The letter further stated that the appointment aligns with the national vision and reform agenda of the City Boy Movement under its Grand Patron, Mr. Seyi Tinubu, in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership.
The organisation reiterated its commitment to structured youth empowerment and political mobilisation towards the 2027 elections.
Congratulating Eyo on his new role, the leadership expressed optimism that he would justify the trust placed in him and leave a lasting legacy of service and excellence. Eyo Ita Okon will serve as the principal representative of the City Boy Movement in Cross River State, working in line with directives from the National Secretariat to ensure the continued growth and success of the organisation.
