- The Export Freight Executive is responsible for ensuring utmost attention to export procedures and documentation, ensuring error-free and timely completion of all export-related tasks. This includes liaising with government agencies, inspection companies and logistics providers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and smooth execution of export operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Export Documentation and Compliance
- Prepare and submit export documentation, including RFIs, NXPs, Final Invoices, Packing Lists and Consignment Notes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant export regulations, including customs regulations, tax laws and international trade agreements.
- Liaise with government agencies, inspection companies and logistics providers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods.
- Arrange for cargo insurance, freight forwarding and customs clearance.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
Customs Clearance and Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant customs regulations, including classification, valuation and rules of origin.
- Prepare and submit customs declarations, including NES and SGS documentation.
- Liaise with customs officials to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Supply Chain Management
- Manage and coordinate the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management and transportation.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including delays, damage and non-compliance.
- Implement and maintain supply chain optimization strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Communication and Stakeholder Management
- Communicate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing and logistics teams, to ensure alignment and coordination.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers and logistics providers, to ensure smooth execution of export operations.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to resolve any issues or concerns.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including export volumes, revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to management, including export performance reports, compliance reports and supply chain optimization reports.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to optimize export operations.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in export operations, logistics, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of export procedures and documentation, including RFIs, NXPs and customs regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with government agencies, inspection companies and logistics providers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Certifications and Licenses:
- Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) or Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) certification may be an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
