The National Chairman of Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion (EFAC) and the Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Anambra State, Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor has charged Nigeria Christians to exercise patience while serving God to fully receive his glory.
He also charged the Christian faithful to show love to one another without boundaries.
Bishop Ezeofor gave the charge in his sermon during a week-long National Convention of the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion (EFAC) Nigeria, held at Oko, in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State, over the weekend.
It was gathered that the National Convention, which drew participants mainly from the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion from different parts of Nigeria, took place at Saint John the Divine Church and the Federal Polytechnic, both in the Council Area respectively.
Speaking further during the event, the Bishop emphasized the theme of the convention, “Show forth His glory.” He maintained that God has prepared His vessels to bless and empower believers, making them instruments and channels to show the world His glory.
He stated that God manifests His glory to achieve various purposes, including blessing His people, creation, and punishing the wicked.
He urged youths to remain steadfast in prayer, as God seeks a generation to clothe with His glory, pointing out that when he gets such people, He will enable them to accomplish great things on earth.
He explained that the yearly convention of the Evangelical fellowship in the Anglican Communion EFAC Nigeria is a medium God uses through His Ministers to reawaken Christians especially the EFAC members to their heavenly mandate of soul winning.
In a remark the National General Secretary of EFAC, Venerable Olugbenga Ajayi, described the one-week National Convention as life-transforming, saying it would help many Christians who have fallen out of faith to be strengthened.
He regretted the hardships Nigerians face but encouraged perseverance and continued faith in God, assuring that the challenges will soon pass.
In an interview, the President of Aguata Diocesan Women’s Ministry, Mrs. Chinyere Ezeofor, who spoke on “The role of women as the major pillars in both the church and the Larger society” advised women to hold onto God to record more successes in life.
The Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, Venerable Steve Nnadi, appreciated God for the event’s success, describing it as phenomenal.
