Today we’d like to introduce you to Frank Tapia.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born in Whittier California & I was raised in the city of Bell Gardens however throughout my life I’ve always been all over the place I’ve moved from city to city. Growing up I was very introverted and having to start all over transferring from school to school was very difficult for me but it was also fun on the social aspect of it as well meeting new people. I’m currently going to school at Long Beach City College I am a nurse major and I work full-time currently at a cancer practice. Also with the help of my family especially my mother I’ve been able to move forward in life always having her support really push me through to accomplish my goals. My hobbies consist of playing piano and having photo shoots. I do try my best to execute them as well as I can & I’m also a huge Beyoncé fan too! I’ve been since I was about three years old and as the years passed by it’s only escalated and I have taking it more seriously. I’m currently learning how to produce my own music as well I plan on taking an online course in the spring I’m really excited for that too! And last but not least I’m very family oriented.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
Life has definitely been very challenging especially once I rolled into college, working full-time and going to school in between has been very difficult the past three years. I’ve learned to manage my time a lot better and organize myself financially as well I still have lots to learn but I would definitely say one of the biggest challenges that I have overcame was getting through Anatomy and Stats. Throughout the way it’s been a journey and I have a very great support system so luckily I had stability to get through these rough classes which were huge challenges to overcome. In the beginning I had a fixed mindset and now I feel I’m able to tackle down anything that comes my way whether it be school, life or whatever the case may be. It sure wasn’t easy.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I am an innovative treatment scheduler at the oncology Institute of hope innovation, With three long years of experience, I definitely spent Time developing my skills and trying my best to improve, I have a lot of passion in my job and I’m so grateful for my supportive leader ship always there to assist me whenever I’m in need. I definitely enjoy assisting patients get scheduled for their chemotherapy treatment and working with their schedule and simply building a relationship and ultimately make them feel comfortable. Although I am rather well adjusted in my role, I want to learn more and overcome more challenges.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
Coming from someone who now has a growth mindset I would definitely say trust the process and yourself and believe in yourself as well never give up and the only person standing in your way is you as typical and cliché as it may be I feel that’s some thing that I’ve definitely learned. As Selena Quintanilla once said , “the impossible is always possible.”
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
I believe success you have to define for yourself, whatever goal you have ultimately and if you achieve it and you’re satisfied with that then you’ve succeeded in what you wanted to do. But really it can be many things whether making an impact or moving someone. It can also mean being able to do the things that you love most because I feel in life that something that we all want eventually. But it’s entirely up to you whether or not you want to actually do it. it’s definitely possible
What’s next for you?
Life is full of twists and turns and things can change at any moment but as of now on my agenda I would say creating a music album would be next for me once I complete all of my pre-requisite classes for my nursing career meanwhile I’m definitely going to start recording my music it’s some thing that I’ve always wanted to share with the world. at some point in my life I didn’t feel comfortable but now I feel it’s time to take a risk and just put it out there and feel confident. Once I get the ball rolling with that I’ll definitely feel Im Taking the next step.
Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?
