The registration period for Evo Japan 2024 ended last week. Starting on April 27, those that signed up will be able to compete at Granblue Fantasy: Versus Rising, Guilty Gear Strive, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, King of Fighters 15, and Under Night In-Birth 2 Sys:Celes.
Over on Twitter, MarkMan released entrant numbers for Evo Japan 2024. It’s noted that over 6,400 entrants will be attending Evo Japan this year.
Street Fighter 6 definitely has the most attention as there are 4,851 players registered to compete. This is nearly four times as many competitors compared to the game that has the second highest number of registrations.
Tekken 8 takes second place with 1,216 signed up for the event. Along with Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8, Guilty Gear Strive, with 838 players, is slated to see its finals play out on the final day of Evo Japan 2024.
As for Granblue Fantasy: Versus Rising (748), Street Fighter 3: Third Strike (459), and The King of Fighters 15 (449), their tournaments will conclude on April 28. Finally, 353 competitors will duke it out from start to finish at Under Night In-Birth 2 Sys:Celes on April 27.
