Evo champion Leffen releases Season 3 tier list for Guilty Gear Strive

Guilty Gear Strive received its largest update to date with the move to Season 3 with a new balance, new moves and multiple new mechanics for the cast to change things up.

Evo 2023 winner for Strive TSM|Leffen recently put together his early impressions tier list for Season 3 with some potentially surprising rankings, including the character he won the championship with, Happy Chaos.

The first pick may turn some heads with Goldlewis being put in S+ tier where Leffen says that his buffs made him an absurd character with better frame data, ridiculous damage, and one of the best Wild Assaults in the game.

One character who is not in that top tier is indeed Happy Chaos with his Season 3 and general game-wide changes knocking him down from his throne though he notes the man with the magic gun could still be higher up a tier next to potentially Bridget.

It’s apparently to the point where Leffen says in his online post and stream that he’s looking to swap off of Chaos for someone he rates stronger like Chipp or Asuka.

As for the newest character added earlier this month, Elphelt ends up in A+ in the lower half of the pack with Leffen complimenting her strong neutral and jump options while also calling her “easy and dumb.”

All in all, however, the multi-game champion ranks everyone at least a A tier… everyone except his old main Zato-1.

You can check out Leffen’s early impressions tier list for Guilty Gear Strive Season 3 below that he says are loosely ordered, and you can find the full breakdown and explanation on his Twitch archive.
