After a record-setting launch of the open beta, MultiVersus has been missing in action for half a year now once servers were pulled down last Summer.
Multiple pieces of evidence appear to be mounting, however, that Warner Bros. is scheduling their return announcement for MVS sometime next month.
As we previously reported, MultiVersus ran a Happy Meal promotion late last year in parts of Europe, and it looks like pretty much the same deal is coming to the United States, Canada and Australia in March.
PorkMVS spotted MultiVersus bags as well as Wonder Woman and Batman masks at a Canadian McDonald’s while Brownie spotted the same MVS tins from Europe coming to Australia.

We don’t have an exact date yet it seems, but seems to be very close to going live.
McDonald’s Australia, Multiversus collab should be same date as the US, game release VERY SOON pic.twitter.com/4ouhYR0x16

On top of that, MultiverSusie also recently spotted that the platform fighter received two new app updates got added to MultiVersus via SteamDB.
(This part of the post is just speculation, don’t get too excited)
These are most likely new packs alike the Founder’s Pack for Multiversus, they’ve had changes like this when the Founder’s Pack was published for the first time, maybe something other than that pic.twitter.com/u5joYFQFba

It’s unknown exactly what they are yet, but the most likely option look to be new content packs like the Founder’s Pack that released with the beta initially, which is apparently the largest update the page has seen in months too.
Earlier this month, actor Daniel Ross, who voices Gizmo, Stripe and apparently Uncle Shagworthy, shared a post on X/Twitter that also implied something is gearing up behind the scenes — and he doubled down later on too.

Although it didn’t happen for Europe, releasing McDonald’s Happy Meals for a game that isn’t technically available really wouldn’t make much sense for three major regions like this.
That also doesn’t necessarily mean that MultiVersus servers will go live again with a big new update in March, but the chances are looking pretty decent now.
Interestingly, the McDonald’s promotions also said the game has 24 characters even though it went down with 23, so we’re likely to receive a new fighter announcement when they return too.
All we know for sure is the developers said that MultiVersus would return in 2024, and it seems that’s going to come sooner rather than later.
