Ultimate Fighting Arena 2024 is one of the big tournament of the FGC that’s been happening over this weekend. Street Fighter 6 has quite the bracket as over 450 have entered to compete, including NASR|BigBird, Mouz|EndingWalker, FNATIC|Chris Wong, Mouz|Problem X, TM|OilKing, BST|Daigo, TM|NoahTheProdigy, AEG|Mister Crimson, and many more.
This provides us with another opportunity to see how the meta for Street Fighter 6 is shaping up just before Terry Bogard joins on September 24. We’ll do this by taking a closer look at the characters being used within the top 96 portion of the bracket.
What’s particularly interesting about the character usage stats this time around is the fact that all 23 combatants currently playable in Street Fighter 6 saw at least some usage. This is indicative that the game’s balance, though not necessarily perfect, is in a fairly good spot.
Of course, some characters had a bigger presence than others. Cammy, for example, ended up being the most popular character within the top 96 as nine players used her as their main with another two using her as a secondary.
Ken and Akuma ended up seeing an equal amount of representation. Both fighters were used by eight players apiece as their mains, with one more per character as secondaries.
Though only one Ryu made it into the top 96, that one Ryu player, Kusanagi, is currently sitting on the winners side of top 8. On the other hand, Luke, who was represented by eight players, wasn’t able to make it any further than 17th place.
