The rough start Manchester United have faced under Ruben Amorim, has underlined the scale of the challenge he faces in turning the club’s fortunes around.
The new INEOS-led sporting structure will be responsible for equipping Amorim with the resources needed to improve United’s underperforming squad.
Only a select few players from the first team are considered safe.
Major departures are expected at United under the new regime.
Alejandro Garnacho had grown to be seen as a huge part of United’s long-term plans.
However, there seems a chance that the Argentinian is going to leave the club, with Chelsea and Napoli seriously interested.
Marcus Rashford is course another, with plenty of talk around his future potentially being at Barcelona.

The latest development on CentreDevils was of Galatasaray edging closer to sign Marcus Rashford on a loan deal.
However according to Telegraph’s report, Barcelona are making last-ditch attempts to lure the Englishman to Spain.
Barcelona remains Rashford’s preferred destination, but a deal is uncertain.
The Catalan club is struggling to comply with La Liga’s financial controls.
They face a race against time to finalise an agreement before Monday’s deadline.
Rashford’s wages present another challenge for any potential move.
His contract, signed in the summer of 2023, sees him earn over £325,000 per week.
If the Barcelona deal falls through, his only option may be a return to United’s squad.
Ruben Amorim, however, has been firm in his decision to exclude Rashford from the first team.

The player and his advisers, mainly his brother Dwaine Maynard, are pushing for Barcelona.
However, their financial issues have made signing new players increasingly difficult.
Barcelona have struggled to comply with La Liga’s salary cap regulations.
Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, their two summer signings, are only registered for this season pending an appeal.
La Liga president Javier Tebas has vowed to challenge the temporary approval of those registrations.
With this dispute ongoing, securing another player like Rashford is even more complicated.
Any potential loan move for Rashford would require salary, bonuses, and other fees to be renegotiated.
The 27-year-old has now missed United’s last 11 games.
His camp insists he is training harder than ever to regain full fitness.
United would prefer to sell Rashford for a high fee to reinvest in the squad.
However, given his wages and lack of recent game time, a permanent transfer seems unlikely.
