There is absolutely no certainty over Erik ten Hag’s position at the helm of Manchester United, as has been the case all season.

However terrible the season has been, there is no denying ten Hag is still one of the finest managers around and a new report from Bild alleges that he is now top of Bayern Munich’s list of potential managers.

As Christopher Falk of Bild Sport posted on his X profile, the Dutch tactician is a new name on the list and is being internally discussed.

Current Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel will be leaving the Bavarian club at the end of the season, a historic season at the club for the wrong reasons.

The Rekordmeister have missed out on the Bundesliga for the first time in 11 years on account of Xabi Alonso’s all-conquering Bayer Leverkusen.

Incidentally, Bayern Munich were interested in Alonso earlier in the season but he opted to stay at Leverkusen where he has been doing an incredible job.

The search for a manager led them to former Manchester United interim manager and advisor Ralf Rangnick who turned down the offer in favor of staying in charge of the Austria national team as The Guardian cited yesterday.

Whatever happens to both Erik ten Hag and then Bayern managerial position will remain of interest to all parties concerned especially considering Erik spent some time at Allianz Arena as Pep Guardiola’s assistant during his reign.

As things stand and according to reports, Ten Hag appears to be the leading candidate for Bayern’s top seat.
