Esports World Cup LCQ Street Fighter 6 character stats and final top 32 competitor lineup revealed

Although Evo 2024 just wrapped up a few weeks ago, the top fighting game players from around the world are eyeing a much larger monetary prize that’s about to be up for grabs, and we now know who is going to be competing for that $1 million USD.

With the Esports World Cup 2024 Last Chance Qualifier event for Street Fighter 6 wrapping up earlier today, we’ve gathered the character stats for those competing for the final spots as well as put together the complete lineup of top players.

Starting with the top 32 of the LCQ, we ended up seeing 13 of the game’s 23 characters in the upper brackets with a few notable standouts.

Akuma and Cammy were the most popular of all at 4 players apiece, but the likes of Luke, M. Bison and Rashid were right up behind them too.

This also means that some heavy hitters like JP, Guile and arguably A.K.I. were among the 10 left out of the action meanwhile there were 2 Lily players to almost make it to the final stage.

Since the SF6 LCQ drew in 146 contestants, the top 32 here represents the best 22% of the competition at this stacked tournament trying to get into the even more stacked tournament next week.

Action for the main event is scheduled to begin on Thursday, August 8, and last four days in total for SF6 specifically.

The first phase will be eight groups with four players where the top two of each will move on to phase 2 with the process repeating again until ending with a top 8 bracket.

Making it to any part of the EWC final tournament will prove quite fruitful for the players with everyone making at least $5,000 for the top 32.

Fighting games will have a second run at the big event later this month too with Tekken 8 getting their own LCQ starting August 15 and finals the following week.
