Gabriel Jesus scored a brace as Arsenal secured a 5-1 thrashing of Crystal Palace in their Premier League tie on Saturday.
Jesus had scored a hat-trick as Crystal Palace were beaten 3-2 in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
The Gunners have thus defeated Palace twice within four days as they stay in good form going into the Christmas season.
Jesus scored two in the first half before Kai Havertz made it three, with Gabriel Martinelli and Declan Rice adding further goals after the break. Ismaila Sarr scored a consolation for Palace.
But a minus for Mikel Arteta’s side was that Bukayo Saka limped off injured in the game. Arsenal are now three points behind leaders Liverpool, although they have played two games more.

Champions Manchester City dropped more points as they fell to a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa at the Villa Park.
City’s crisis intensified as they slipped to another damaging defeat, dropping to sixth in the Premier League, nine points behind Liverpool having played two games more.
It is now nine defeats in 12 games in all competitions for City, who are winless in their last eight away matches, as their season continues to spiral downwards.
Elsewhere, Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina was on target alongside Anthony Elanga, for Nottingham Forest as they defeated their hosts Brentford 2-0.
In the other Premier League games played on Saturday, West Ham were held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton while Ipswich Town were thrashed 4-0 by Newcastle United.
