Enyimba International FC supporters have called on the club management to recruit quality players to help the team achieve success in the CAF Confederation Cup and Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) competitions. The supporters, who spoke in Aba on Monday, emphasized the need for the club to contract players who can deliver results and make a remarkable impact on the team’s participation in the competitions.

Edwin Orjinta, a supporter, advised the club against hasty recruitment of players, urging them to ensure that quality players who can deliver results are contracted for the season. “Avoid recruiting players who are only good in training, bench warmers, and injury-prone, because there is so much to fight for next season,” he said.

Ikechukwu Njoku, another supporter, hailed the club for securing a continental slot and urged the management to go for players who can stand the test of continental football and the domestic league. He urged the club to work hard to win the continental league, as they did in 2003 and 2004, and also to finish well in the NPFL.

Augustine Ezenwata, a supporter, urged the club management to prioritize players’ welfare, stating that this would bring out the best in the players. Izuchukwu Odeme expressed concern about the delay in the recruitment of players for the coming season, saying that the players needed time to blend before the league kicked off.

The call by Enyimba supporters for the recruitment of quality players is a show of passion and patriotism for the club. With the club’s history of success in African continental competitions, the supporters are eager to see Enyimba maintain its status as a household name in African football.
