Emma Heming Willis is marking a significant event. It’s a big deal, you know? Bruce Willis, her husband, is grappling with frontotemporal dementia. But despite this, Emma took a moment to share a heartfelt tribute on their 15th wedding anniversary. And she didn’t shy away from reflecting on his diagnosis.
“Today, I can make a choice,” she put it out there on Instagram on March 21. She could drown in sadness or she could celebrate. She’s calling it the ‘remarkable reframe.’ And she’s got a point. There’s a lot to celebrate. “Our union and connection is probably stronger than ever,” she says.
Emma and Bruce have two daughters. Mabel Willis, who’s 10, and Evelyn Willis, who’s 8. They’re bright, fun, and healthy. Emma didn’t stop there. “We have a family unit that is built on mutual respect and admiration,” she added. And she’s just head over heels for the man she married. “I’m so proud of what we have and continue to create,” she gushed.
The Willis family is carrying a heavy burden with Bruce’s diagnosis. But they’re not letting it get in the way of celebrating life’s special moments. In fact, Emma and Bruce’s anniversary came hot on the heels of the family’s loving tributes for The Sixth Sense star’s 69th birthday. It’s been a whirlwind, but they’re hanging in there.
