Emirates Showdown is going down this weekend and as you might’ve guessed from the name, it’s taking place in the United Arab Emirates, more specifically in Dubai.
Notable entrants include DRX|LowHigh, Dragons|Raef, DRX|Knee, NASR|AngryBird, NASR|BigBird, Talon|Book, Navi|Kkokkoma, FNC|Mangja, Ashes|TheJon, Liquid|Shadow20z, C9|Dawood Sikandar, Falcons|Farzeen, GL|Tetsu, KC|JDCR, GG|Tibetano, NASR|TekkenMaster, TheSamBrother, Solary|Yasha, IZI|Wade and many more.
This is a Master Event for Tekken 8 on the Tekken World Tour so there’s a lot of incentive for Tekken players to show up and get as many points as possible, and show up they did — to the tune of almost 120 participants.
It’s also an event on the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour and has attracted some international fighters to try and book their spots to their finals.
Street Fighter 6 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will also be seeing tournament play at the event.
Streaming is being done at Tekken and VSlash Esports.
