Emergency Rule: It’s Tinubu’s 2027 Agenda – PDP Chair

The state of emergency imposed on Rivers State by President Bola Tinubu is part of the 2027 agenda of the President and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to capture the state.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Acting Vice Chairman of (South-South), Emma Ogidi, stated this on Wednesday in Abuja.

Ogidi, while addressing newsmen at the PDP national secretariat, said the emergency rule declaration has triggered panic among members of the public in Rivers State.

According to him, not a few chieftains of the PDP have left the state for fear of being victimised by the unelected administration of the Sole Administrator, retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas.

Ogidi said, “Some of our men have run out of the state. Our senior officers, I mean, party officials have been leaving the state because they didn’t know what is going to happen next.

“These people want to capture River State. If you recall, the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, had been saying he’s going to deliver River State to President Tinubu.

“And he’s not going to stop at River State, that is why we are telling our people to be very careful. We are going to tell our governors to watch it. His target now is the entire South South zone.

“So we are calling on you all, to let the whole world know that this is the 2027 agenda and nothing else.

“Note that all though Mr. President’s state of emergency speech, he blamed the governor for everything. But what about the chief instigator? No mention was made of the FCT minister, who we all know, is the chief instigator.

“Only last Saturday, he went to Abulama with a contingent of soldiers, he said he was being honoured. A minister, going about with a contingent of soldiers.

“So when the thing was announced on Tuesday, we were not surprised because he has found a loose cannon. A man who has no respect for authorities, who believes in his own self. That’s why he’s doing what he’s doing.”
