"EMBRACE PEACE,LOVE,SACRIFICE",Okang Tasks Muslims

Cross River State Commissioner for Information&Orientation,Comrade Asu Okang has tasked Muslims in the Country to always imbibe the true virtues of love,peace,tolerance and sacrifice as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed.

Comrade Okang stated this in Calabar in his Sallah message on behalf of the Government and good people of Cross River State, to muslim faithfuls on the occasion of the 2020 Eid E’L-Kabir celebrations in the State.

The Information&Orientation Commissioner said Muslims should necessarily remain steadfast to the teachings and lessons of  Eid E’l-Kabir,which should also reflect hugely in their way of life,especially in this perilous times of continuous ravaging Corona Virus,emphasizing that adequate caution must be taken to observe all the protocols of COVID 19.during the festivities to avoid the spread of the pandemic among residents of the State.

He used the opportunity to remind them of the importance of regular hand washing with clean water and soap,use of alcohol based  Hand Sanitizer, wearing  face masks and maintaining physical distancing,pointing out that the celebrations should  be kept low in line with the Federal Government’s directives and charged them to avoid large gatherings for eid prayers and merriments.

The Commissioner further enjoined them to maintain peace,show love ,eschew bitterness and violence during and after the Eid’ El Kabir celebrations,noting that the administration of Governor Benedict Ayade is hugely committed to protecting the lives and property of the entire citizenry as well as guarantee a conducive work and business environment for all in the State.
