Job Summary
The Maintenance Electrician will perform complex technical work, on a journeyman level, in the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service and repair of electrical systems, equipment, fixtures and related electro-mechanical systems, in accordance with applicable Electrical Industry Codes.
Job Responsibilities
Your role will be to:
- Inspect the premises regularly to identify equipment and machines in need of repair
- Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs
- Plan and conduct routine electrical maintenance using the applicable buildings blueprints or equipment manual as mandated
- Repair faulty wiring where a specialised electrical technician is not required
Additional Duties
- The incumbent will be asked to perform additional maintenance duties on occasion
- Be on standby and work overtime when required

Education
- N3 in Electrical Engineering
- Electrical trade test
- Wireman’s license
- PLC Programming experience
- 2 – 3 years electrical experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Mechanical experience
- Advanced computer literacy
- Code 08 driver’s license
