Electrician
The ideal candidate would be responsible for:
- Start-up and running of processing plant.
- Maintenance of equipment.
- Fault finding.
- Order spares, follow up on orders.
- Daily attending to breakdowns in processing plant.
- Maintaining and implementing the continuous improvement programme (20 keys) as well as the Health, Safety and Environmental programme.
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Qualified Electrician (Red Seal).
- Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Experience and knowledge of PLC’s.
- Experience of MEYN evisceration equipment will be advantageous.
- Must be computer literate – MS Office.
- Ammonia experience will be advantageous.
- Must have driver’s license and reliable transport.
- Initiative and ability to progress in a multi-skilled environment, a willingness to learn as well as personal and professional integrity are key requirements.
- Strong administrative, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
- The candidate should be hardworking, honest and self-motivated.
- Ability to cope under pressure.
- Must be prepared to work overtime, shifts and/or standby.
- Fluent in English and another language will be preferable.
