We are an MEP Company based in Port Harcourt seeking the role of an Electrician Technician experience in delivering swift, cost-effective, and innovative solutions to clients across various industries.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in similar role
Minimum of Ordinary National Diploma / Bachelor in Engineering or B.Tech in an Engineering course.
Trade Test result
English language speaking and writing.
Completed basic electrical program is a beneficiary.
Have experience in the usage of industry tools and testing equipment for electrical jobs such as cable stripper, screwdrivers, wrenches, multimeter, ammeter clamp, phase sequence, insulation tester etc.
Have experience in installation and testing of electrical equipment such as Switchgear, MCC, Transformer, UPS, Motors etc.
Have experience of troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
Requirements:
Job Hazard / Job Safety Analyses.
Meet all safety and regulatory requirements.
Basis electrical characteristic (voltage, current, motor etc.)
Understanding of electrical systems, reading, and interpreting electrical and electronic circuits, diagrams, and schematics. Including SLD, wiring, circuits, transformers, motors, generators, and other equipment.
Able to use various electrical testing equipment, such as mustimeters, ammeter clamp, phase sequence, oscilloscopes, and circuit analysers, to diagnose problems and verify proper system operation.
Knowledge and understanding of national electrical code.
Knowledge of power distribution, grounding, and grounding techniques
Ethic of working in multinational team
Basic battery limit isolations and general LOTO procedures
Permit to work procedure and general HSE requirements in commissioning phase.
Behavioral and physical requirements
Troubleshooting of Electrical circuits
Support with preparation or interpretation of electrical diagram.
Support with advice on electrical compatibility of devices and management of electrical installations on sites
Attending to site call-outs as they arise.
Work hand in hand with the technical team member in ensuring completion of installations.
Responsible for materials delivered and kept in his care for the completion of installations at site.
Responsible for site inspection to determine the requirement for installation to be done or being done on site.
Responsible for installing piping’s and cablings at site to enable appropriate deliverables.
Responsible for the installation of automation/ electrical devices at site.
Responsible for provision of his workmen to ensure appropriate completion of installations at site.
Responsible for any failure in installation projects undertaken by him/his workmen.
Any other responsibility assigned to him as it concerns electrical / automation installations.
Report to the project manager or technical supervisor in case of any hitches in the course of his work.
