Description
An electrical maintenance operator supports production by providing effective equipment maintenance and reliability while adhering to procedures/codes and utilizing all available support resources to increase stability and maintain sustainability of the plant.
Functional outputs:
Execution of tasks associated with maintenance inspections and strategies.
Be able to perform all electrical maintenance operator functions related to chemical plant and maintenance, operations support and fault finding.
Be able to assist with modifications/upgrades on existing systems.
Ability to scope and execute small tasks.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, for small power.
Perform Electrical IMS inspections (SHERQ).
Adhere to compliance to the MOC process for changes to existing plant and equipment.
Data extraction and analysis (fault finding, etc.).
Have a practical understanding of EX and hazardous area classifications.
Attend to outages planning and execution experience.
Ensure full compliance to section 14 of the OHS act.
Ensure full compliance to Enaex task risk assessments, work instructions and working procedures.
Perform installation, testing and commissioning new/repaired electrical installations in accordance with Enaex specifications.
Proactive identification and correction of defects and preventative maintenance.
Support artisans and other disciplines.
Participation in housekeeping.
Requirements
Matric with Maths, Science and English or N3 and Business English.
Driver’s license (code 08).
Computer literate.
Have a working understanding of the electrical installation regulations (OHS act).
