May 25 2024 BROOKLYN, New York – Police say a person is taken into custody while one person is dead and two others are injured after a fatal fire in Bedstuy neighborhood of Brooklyn Friday night.
70-year-old male was discovered unresponsive in the bedroom and declared dead. 65-year-old female was rushed to a hospital for smoke inhalation, she is in stable condition.
“It hurts, this is a building of love, we all look out for each other” – Neighbor shares what happened as smoke and fire took over a Bed-stuy Brooklyn building, killing one person and injuring multiple others. “I tried to get everybody out, I ran to get neighbor’s families”.
Fire broke out shortly after 11pm on a Friday night at 371 Monroe Street.
