Efenji Nicholas Welcomes Deputy Gov Peter Odey to Bekwarra, Commends his Goodwill Towards the People

A business magnate, Efenji Nicholas, on Monday September 1st, joined other illustrious sons of Bekwarra to welcome Cross River Deputy Governor, Hon. Peter Odey to the local government area.

Speaking on the sidelines of the visit, Efenji Nicholas commended the massive goodwill demonstrated towards his people by the Deputy Governor who was in Bekwarra as part of his tour of the Northern Senatorial District.

Hon. Odey who used the opportunity to felicitates the Bekwarra people on their new yam festival, also took note of pressing developmental challenges confronting them, while pledging the state government’s commitment to addressing these challenges in earnest.

During the visit the Deputy Governor informed the people that construction of Ugboro/Ukpa/Okpeche/Abochiche road and Okuku/Imaje/Okprinyi has been captured under the Rural Access Mobility (RAM) project. He also announced that the deplorable section of the Ogoja-Katsinala federal highway has been rehabilitated by the state government.

Hon. Odey thereafter donated the sum of 20 million naira to the people. He also supported the Bekwarra Youth Cooperative with 2 million naira and 1 million naira to appreciate the beautifully dressed Afrike women. All these he did in the spirit of the new yam festival.

Impressed by this show of magnanimity, Efenji Nicholas who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Efenji Homes and Properties, Abuja, lauded the Deputy Governor, describing him as true Ambassador of Prince Otu’s ‘People First’ administration.
