The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Efenji Homes & Properties Limited Abuja, Mr Efenji Nicholas was among illustrious sons and daughters that celebrated the Bekwarra New Yam Festival on Saturday 6 September, 2025, in Abuochiche.
The Real Estate Mogul who received blessings and prayers from the Paramount Ruler of Bekwarra, His Royal Majesty Odey Linus Ogbeche (Ushie-Ebeshe-kakpa II), was among those that welcomed the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar to the local government area.
Hon. Ironbar was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Okpenihe 1 of Bekwarra in recognition of his valuable contributions to good governance and political stability in the state.

Congratulating him for the achievement, Efenji Nicholas in a brief interview with The Paradise News, described Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar as a bridge between the people and government. “He’s someone who ensures that the impact of the People First administration reaches everyone,” he said.
He described the Chief of Staff as a great manager of people and resources, ensuring stability and smoothness in the wheels of governance. “Ever since he became the Chief of Staff, he has demystified that office. Hon. Ironbar has made himself available and very accessible to everyone, listening, feeling and communicating the pulses of the people to the governor, thus helping to shape the administration’s people-centered policies.”
The young business magnate expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries that graced the occasion, including the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barr. Alphonsus Ogar Eba; High Chief Higgins Peters; Ntufam Chief Peter Ojie; Director General Due Process, Hon. Charles Atu; Commissioner for Youth Development, Barr. The New Yam Festival is a celebration of Bekwarra’s cultural heritage, effectively marking the end of the farming season and the beginning of harvest. It is a time of thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest, and a moment for peace, unity and cultural expression. It featured traditional dances, music, feasting, and cultural displays that reflect the history and identity of the people.
