Bandai Namco held their latest Tekken Talk broadcast earlier this week in which the developers walked viewers through the content roadmap for Tekken 8. In addition to discussing what’s to come, the company also provided an in-depth look at Tekken 8’s first DLC character, Eddy Gordo.

There were several “firsts” during this presentation, including our first look at the updated character select screen with the DLC fighter in tow. Bandai Namco also revealed Eddy’s first four costumes in Tekken 8, which we have for you here today.

In Tekken 8, each character comes with four default costume options you can choose from right out of the gate. On the character select screen, you can select between their default Tekken 8 look, the P2 color for the same look, a special alternate costume (often a retro outfit for legacy characters), and the Tekken 7 look for legacy fighters.

Default costumes 3 and 4 for newcomers generally just add alternate digs that can be anything from a bikini for Azucena to a casual outfit for Reina.

Eddy’s costumes follow the same formula here, with the four looks shown being his updated Tekken 8 look, the P2 color, a brand new costume made for Tekken 8, and his Tekken 7 design. The developers gave a quick look at each during the Tekken Talk, showing each on the character select screen, but not selecting them for battle.

With his updated Tekken 8 look, Eddy rocks a vest, baggy pants, and a new hairstyle that many fans were quick to point out has been used a lot in recent video games and movies. His third costume goes a bit more on the stylish end of things as Eddy wears a leather jacket, sunglasses, and a shirt and pants that have gold accents on them.

Eddy fans who weren’t happy with his new hairdo will be glad to learn that his default costume 4 returns the Capoeira fighter back to his Tekken 7 self. This outfit looks great here in Tekken 8, and with it we see Eddy equip a leopard-print jacket, longer hair, and some gold chains around his neck.

At this time, we do not have a specific release date just yet for Eddy Gordo in Tekken 8. The game’s first DLC character is expected to release sometime this Spring, however.
