Ed Boon shares closer look at Ferra and sneak peek at the Kameo's acrobatic Fatality in Mortal Kombat 1

After being gone from the roster almost a decade now, everyone’s favorite little vicious gremlin girl is coming back to Mortal Kombat.

The series co-creator, Ed Boon, is sharing some closer looks at Ferra as she’ll appear in Mortal Kombat 1.

Boon started a long, multi-post thread on his X/Twitter page today, which began with a screenshot of Ferra crouching on top of her bag of severed heads in the character model viewer.

Her overall design is looking pretty similar to Mortal Kombat X except the feral fighter’s potentially aged up a bit with her costume having more color to make it pop — along with being slightly less filthy.

Interestingly, the NetherRealm Studios Creative Director states that Ferra plays unlike any other Kameo fighter in MK1 now though he doesn’t elaborate on what that means for her or the game.

At the end, Boon also shared a five-second clip of Ferra’s Fatality animation where she stabs Kung Lao in the face with her hook claws and flips over his head to start brutally splitting the poor dude down the back.

Although we got to see her in Homelander’s debut trailer for MK1, this is the best look we’ve had at Ferra yet overall.

While she doesn’t have a release date yet, The Boys’ guest fighter is looking likely to launch next month, so Ferra’s probably going to return to the series after him in June or July as well.

NetherRealm will have a lot more to show for both of the upcoming DLC characters in the coming weeks with an actual gameplay trailer showing off what they can do as well as a Kombat Kast before Homelander hits the stage.
