Ed Boon is asking fans what they want to see out of Mortal Kombat 1 including which characters need improvements, DLC, and more

Just yesterday, Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon shared the first look at gameplay for Mortal Kombat 1’s upcoming DLC fighter, Takeda. Along with that tweet, Boon tacked on something very interesting at the end that lead to a full thread on the social media platform.

At the end of the Takeda tweet, Boon wrote “We look forward to supporting #MK1 far beyond this… and would love to get some feedback from the community….” and then proceeded to post a handful of other tweets asking for direct feedback on certain aspects of the game. At the time of writing this, the longtime video game developer wants to know what you think on several subjects including character improvements, DLC, and more.

The first feedback question Boon proposed is as follows: Which 5 fighters from the main roster do you feel could “use the most love” to make them…

Better

Unchained

Formidable

Fervent

Essentially, Ed would like to know which characters players feel could use improvements the most. Making them stronger, more unchained (I believe he means by Kameo Fighter assistance), and more inspired overall.

It is a constant thing to see players on social media shouting that “XYZ” character isn’t strong enough or needs more to their tool kit. If you’re one of those people, right now is the time to hit Boon’s tweets and get your requests in.

Next up, Boon asked the same question, but of the Kameo Fighters. Mortal Kombat 1’s assist fighters that are chosen to supplement the combat of the point (main roster) character differ from the main cast, but they also see balance adjustments and their own strengths and weaknesses.

Adding to the Kameo Fighters question, Boon put out a now closed poll asking fans what particularly pertaining to the Kameos they want to see more. Of the three options, the most votes went to more DLC Kameo Fighters garnering a little over 40% of the fan votes.

Mortal Kombat 1 is gearing up to close out its Kombat Pack 1 next month with the addition of DLC main roster character Takeda and Kameo Fighter Ferra. Both kombatants will be launching alongside each other via early access on July 23.

Be sure to let Boon know what you want to see in Mortal Kombat 1 in the future, then circle back and let us know what you picked here in the comments below.
