Akuma is slated to be the final DLC combatant of the Year 1 Character Pass for Street Fighter 6. Around when Akuma is made available, we should also be expecting the Season 2 patch to drop, which is likely to completely shake up the meta.
Justin Wong recently released a video that had him polling professional and notable players within the Street Fighter 6 scene about what they’d like to see for Season 2. More specifically, Wong asked everyone to come up with just one change that they want for the big patch.
The topic of Luke came up a lot during the process. It seems that a lot of professionals are eager to see Luke receive substantial nerfs considering how prominent he’s been in Season 1.
Plenty of players also want to see some nerfs to the universal Drive Rush mechanic. There were a number of different ideas on how to go about this.
Drive Parry was another mechanic that got some attention in the video. Some players believe that the risk versus reward of going for a Perfect Parry is too skewed in the defender’s favor.
