DreamHack Summer is back in the fighting game community eye and will be taking place in its customary locale of Jönköping, Sweden.

The two fighting games present at the event are Tekken 8 and Street Fighter 6, with the former landing at around 160 entrants and the latter falling just behind at about 155 registered players.

Each game sits at a $50,000 prize pool so there’s a lot of monetary incentive to attend the event and players from all across the world have showed up to grab as much as they can from that prize pool.

Not only that, though, the top 8 placers in each game will be directly qualified for the Esports World Cup 2024 that’s taking place later this year in Riyadh, and will also be featuring both Tekken 8 and Street Fighter 6 and have separate prize pools of $1,000,000 each for the two titles.
