We don’t really talk about fighting game trophies enough in these parts, but we certainly do when they’re this cool.
Bandai Namco unveiled today the unique champion’s trophy to be earned by the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour 2023/2024 that’s ready to rock the dragon (and the victor).
This presumably one-of-a-kind trophy pretty much recreates the cover art of DBFZ with Super Saiyan Goku preforming the Dragon Punch (or at least what I’ve always presumed was it since he’s not in SS3 or base forms) except he’s also framed by a smaller scale Shenron wrapped around the base.
It’s not the first time Bamco has used some combination of these anime icons in their FighterZ World Tour trophies with the 2018/2019 version featuring Shenron and 2020 sticking the top half of Goku on top of the base with the mythical dragon there too.
We think this one probably looks better than the past ones (aside from maybe the ones with singular crystal Dragon Balls that Kazunoko won four of) though I guess that will depend on how you feel about Goku’s hair being golden instead of yellow.

There’s 12 players up to grab what might be the last DBFZ world finals with Hikari, Solary|Yasha, Wade, LegendaryyPred, Garlic Bread, Ikoan, ZaneFGC, Kayne, ZeroOne0, Kasuga, Lucar and the Last Chance Qualifier preparing to fight for the prize.
The finals are set to take place January 28, 2024 at the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour event early next year where we’re likely going to also get the full release announcement for rollback netcode.
Hopefully this won’t be a Bandits|MenaRD and Capcom Cup situation, and the winner actually gets to take the trophy home.
