Dragon Ball FighterZ Rollback Beta Test to take place on November 30 through December 10 on Steam

The Dragon Ball FighterZ Rollback Beta Test has been announced. It will take place starting on November 30, 2023 and conclude on December 10, 2023.

Participation in the Dragon Ball FighterZ Rollback Beta Test requires ownership of the Steam version of Dragon Ball FighterZ. This testing period is only being conducted on Steam.

“I would like to take this opportunity to announce the upcoming Public Beta Test on Steam with rollback implemented,” said Tomoko Hiroki, Dragon Ball FighterZ Game Producer at Bandai Namco.

“First of all, we apologize for making you wait,” said Tomoko. “We are very grateful to all of you who have been waiting for it.”

Rollback netcode for Dragon Ball FighterZ was originally announced back in August 2022. Indeed, the team has been working on the rollback netcode implementation for over a year now.

Back then, Hiroki had stated that content and balance support for the game had concluded by that point. While it’s true that there’s been no additional content for Dragon Ball FighterZ since then, the developers did surprise fans with additional balance updates with patch 1.32 and patch 1.33.

“We have been working hard to build a satisfying environment and now we are finally ready to share it with you,” continued Tomoko. “We would like to hold a Public Beta Test on Steam from November 30, 2023. This beta test is available to all owners of Dragon Ball FighterZ for Steam.”

Tomoko would then tell fans to keep an eye on social media and the official website for additional details about the Rollback Netcode Beta Test. As of right now, there doesn’t appear to be any mention of rollback netcode for Dragon Ball FighterZ on Bandai Namco’s website other than it is being worked on as of August 2022.
