Dragon Ball FighterZ fans have been having a pretty rough go of it. After waiting roughly 18 months for rollback netcode to be added to the fan-favorite fighter, once the update finally came it also came along with a ton of visual, gameplay, and functionality issues.
Now that we’re about a month after the rollback update’s release, the developers behind Dragon Ball FighterZ have returned to give the people the latest on what’s happening. Fortunately, the developers have stated that they are aware of the issues and that they are aiming to have them fixed by sometime next month.
The official Dragon Ball Games Twitter account put out a couple of tweets earlier this morning to provide fans with the latest status update on the current landscape of Dragon Ball FighterZ. The gist? They’re aware of the issues and are working on them.
“We are aware that players are encountering issues with the rollback netcode function in #DBFZ,” wrote the Twitter account. “The team is currently working to address these problems within April.
“We will provide updates once we have a confirmed release date. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience,” concluded the Dragon Ball Games Twitter account.
Some of the issues players have been seeing after the rollback update have been pretty wild. Several streamers and content creators highlighted a very odd visual glitch that sees character models freezing and staying on screen, which ultimately leads to duplicates of different characters in different poses being plastered all across the screen.
We even saw an instance where a giant Super Baby 2 Vegeta Great Ape was stuck on screen in a T-pose, along with roughly 20 Krillin models being frozen in place.
At this point, we really hope these issues get ironed out for good. Dragon Ball FighterZ is a great game and those who still aim to play competitively or just enjoy playing casually deserve to do so without bugs plaguing the experience.
