Dozens baptized in Pakistan

Orthodox Church in Pakistan     

More than three dozen new Orthodox Christians were baptized and chrismated in Pakistan recently.

A mass Baptismal service took place in Faisalabad, Punjab Province, celebrated by visiting priest from Stavropol, Russia, Fr. Anthony Skrinnikov. Local priest Fr. Paul Sushil was also present.

Altogether, 42 children and adults received the washing of regeneration, reports Orthodox Church in Pakistan—Moscow Patriarchate.

The names of the newly illumined are: Elias, Alexandera, Joseph, Methodius, Isiah, John, Emilia, Peter, Juliana, Andrew, Ksenia, Matrona, Jacob, Arsenius, Maria, Susanna, Anthony, George, Thecla, David, Mariana, Maria, Sergius, Paul, Evgenia, Jeremiah, Andrew, Sava, Nonna, Ksenia, John, Maria, Cyril, Anna, Cyprian, Anastasia, Basil, Vladimir, Stephen, Ephraim, Anthony, Paul.

Fr. Anthony, of the Church of St. Dmitry Donskoy in Stavropol and head Stavropol Metropolis’ Departments of Youth Affairs and Missions, spent several days in Pakistan, celebrating services at parishes throughout the country.
