Supernova 2024 has been keeping Smash fans occupied over this past weekend. Both Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Super Smash Bros. Melee have the highest number of attendants registered.
Smash Ultimate has nearly 2,300 entrants while Melee has a little over 900 competing. This presents us with yet another opportunity to see how the metagames are shaping up for both of these competitive platform brawlers.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Steve saw the most representation in the top 128 of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Seven players used him as their main while three more had him ready as a secondary.
Diddy Kong, Ness, and Palutena were also quite popular at the event. Each of these combatants had five competitors using them.
Ultimately, 59 out of 86 characters saw usage in the top 128. This means that 68% of the roster saw at least some representation by this point in the bracket.
