Dog eats off Herbalist’s manh00d leading to his death in Calabar

A 60-year-old herbalist identified as Ani Offiong Offiong has been sentenced to the grave by his own dog who ate his manh00d on Christmas eve.

THE PARADISE NEWS gathered that the incident happened at 2, Jebbs Layout in Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State, where the herbalist lives.

According to his neighbours, Offiong went on a drinking spree on December 24, 2021, and returned to his apartment at the aforementioned address, drunk.

“When he came back, we had gone to bed but some people were still outside. He went inside his room and slept off without shutting the door and because of too much drink, he excreted on himself. His dog that was outside smelt the odour and went inside to eat the stuff and in the process ate his [email protected] [email protected] thinking it was meat or part of the excreta”, one of the neighbours who gave his name as Itoro said.

According to Itoro, the herbalist raised an alarm when the dog ate his [email protected] [email protected], prompting neighbours to rush into his apartment and discover what had happened.

“When we heard him scream, we thought hoodlums had attacked him but when we got there we saw that his priv@te [email protected] was gone and his dog had blood on its mouth”, he added.

Itoro further said that the man could not be rushed to the hospital because of the faeces that covered his body and so had to be cleaned up first.

“By the time we finished cleaning him of the shit, he was bleeding so much and on the way to the hospital he died”, he narrated.

Further findings reveal that Ani Offiong (aged 60) was buried the next day at the Hawkins Cemetery in Calabar. He hails from Ikoneto in Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River State.

Meanwhile, DSP Irene Ugbo, Police Public Relations Officer in Cross River State confirmed the story to journalists, stating that the police had been informed of the incident and investigations had commenced on the matter.
