The House of Twitch has unveiled the first 30 contestants making it into the Top 40 for Miss Ideal Nigeria 2025, setting the stage for what promises to be an extraordinary competition that goes far beyond beauty. Among the newly announced group are doctors, economists, psychologists, creatives, and entrepreneurs, reflecting the pageant’s mission to celebrate intelligence, talent, and social impact alongside poise and elegance. This year’s winner will enjoy a transformative reign that includes representing Nigeria at an international pageant, walking at major international fashion weeks, securing a modeling contract, and receiving prizes worth over ₦10 million in cash and gifts.
The organizers say they are looking for queens who are not just beautiful but accomplished and passionate about making a difference. That standard has been exemplified by the reigning Miss Ideal Nigeria, Nehita Irieme, a filmmaker representing Edo State. Since winning the 2024 edition, Nehita has walked at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, become the face of Amstel Malta, and appeared at Africa’s most prestigious red-carpet events such as the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards and the TrendUpp Awards. Her reign has also been marked by impactful social work. She won Best Beauty Queen of the Year and Best Social Project for “Know Your Art,” her social enterprise that offers skill acquisition classes to underserved communities. In February, she expanded this effort in partnership with the Harvesters Foundation of Harvesters Church, demonstrating the kind of purposeful leadership the pageant hopes to inspire.
