Kendall: “No, I don’t think the death penalty is necessary, because many times inmates on death row are wrongly convicted and executed. Also, we are taking away the precious lives of innocent people. But, for those who did the crime, I still feel it is not necessary because it is the easy way out, and they should be sitting in jail for the rest of their lives as punishment for their crime.”
Orlando: “When I think about the death penalty, there is always a reason for it to be in place, and there are also times when it should not be recommended. The one thing I understand is that there is no coming back from it. You don’t get a chance to change or redeem yourself at any point. But, once again, there are reasons in this society for the death penalty to be in place. There are actions that justify the death penalty. While I’m not a proponent of the death penalty, I also understand that there is a necessity for all things.”
Darius: “I don’t think it is necessary, but I’m not fully against it. It should only be used for the most evil crimes, but it has to be used carefully. There are so many cases of people being executed where there are doubts in their cases. It should be used carefully and only if there is not a sliver of doubt in the most severe cases.”
Ted: “My stance is kind of mutual because I feel strongly on both sides. I do believe there are some instances and circumstances that would make me consider taking someone’s life for a crime or something they’ve done. Yet, I am so pro-life that I take a strong stance against the death penalty being an option. This is not an easy question.”

Marceauz: “In most cases, no, but for the worst crimes with undeniable proof, yes. It should still be used rarely and carefully, but I’m not against it still being an option for the worst criminals.”
