Report reaching Negroidhaven.org (Negroid Haven) indicates that one Uchenna Jerry has been discovered by the management of the University of Calabar to be involved in illegal admission racketeering.

Mr Jerry who is allegedly a staff of Airtel Network Communication in Warri supposedly offers admission to prospective but unsuspecting candidates seeking admission into the said higher institution of learning. He is said to offer these illegal service for a charge of N70,000.

Thus, the University of Calabar through one of her online platforms denied any official relationship with Mr Uchenna Jerry, and has informed that it only charges the Federal Government approved sum of N2,500 for post UTME screening. It warns the general public to desist from Uchenna Jerry.

The attention of the management of the University of Calabar has been drawn to the criminal activities of one Uchenna Jerry whose photo and profile is published here below. Our investigations have revealed that Uchenna Jerry,  a staff of Airtel Network Communication, Warri, is running an admission racket which claims to offer admission to unsuspecting prospective candidates seeking admission  to the University of Calabar at the cost of N70, 000.00.

For the avoidance of doubt, the University of Calabar does not charge any sum for admission to any of its programmes other than the N2, 500.00 recently approved by the federal government for post UTME screening.

Candidates who have applied to the University of Calabar are hereby strongly advised in their own interest not to patronize this or any other admission racketeer. The University of Calabar management cannot and will not be held liable for any situation where prospective candidates are defrauded by admission racketeers.

Meanwhile, it has also been gleaned that the University of Calabar, Calabar will be reopening for it's second semester of the 2015/2016 academic activities on the 16 of July.
