DG Awarded By CYON for Impact full Service to Cross River

Director General Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency Dr. Mrs. Betta Edu, has again been presented with an award in recognition of her humanitarian services to the good people of Cross River State by the Catholic Youths Organization of Nigeria (CYON), Saint Charles Lwanga Parish, Essien Town, Calabar.

Leaders of the parish presented the award to Dr Edu at the Charles Lwanga parish admist cheers from young people who affirm that she is a great inspiration to her generation.

According to the President of the Organization the group decided after thorough screening, to give the Special Adviser/DG CRSPHCDA the meritorious award because of her immense contribution to the development of the health sector in CRS and her level of commitment to delivering quality health care to rural dwellers and CYON members in general.

In her response, the DG, CRSPHCDA, Dr Betta Edu expressed appreciation to CYON for the award, she thanked Governor Ben Ayade for giving her the opportunity to serve, stating that she was always happy to work with other young persons towards the delivery of affordable and quality health care to the people of CRS. She encouraged the youths to hold on to God as the work hard in their society to be the change the want to see. She dedicated the award to God Almighty who indeed is the source of all her successes.

Dr Edu who was lauded by the organization as the saviour of dwindling primary health care system in the state charged members of the church group not only to key into the dogmatic agenda of Governor Benedict Ayade led administration, but the should also use the platform to get larger number of people to key into the Smart agenda of the present administration which is youth friendly.

The DG said the present administration has demonstrated its avowed commitment to youth empowerment by embarking on visible and fundamental projects with the employment of youths into Green Police, Community health policing and Garment Factory. she enjoined them to build technical capacity as this will take them far beyond where nepotism can.

The highpoint of the occasion was the
presentation of the plague to Dr Betta Edu, DG CRSPHCDA.
