The very first Tekken game ever was released in arcades back on December 9, 1994. It has been nearly 30 years that the 3D fighting title has been the king of the iron fist, and here in 2023 fans are looking forward to the next stage of the series’ progression, Tekken 8.

Over the years, we have seen videos that showcase the evolution of a series or a specific fighting game character, but none has ever been quite as creative as this one. Desk has released a new music video on his Project Dolphin YouTube channel that uses nearly 30 years of Heihachi attacks to construct a groovy song that goes along with the action of the various Tekken games.

This video is entitled “10-Hit combo = Awesome beat,” which is a reference to the “10-hit combo” moves found on many Tekken characters’ move list. 10-hit combo is a unique string that allows players to land, well… a predetermined 10-hit sequence by inputting the move properly.

Right at the start of this music video, we see Desk follow the beat of Heihachi’s 10-hit combo with guitar and a drum machine. This rhythm and melody is played along to the Mishima hitting the combo against every character in Tekken 1.

From there, clips of Heihachi landing his Electric Wind God Fist in tandem with the music play out, and these clips span across numerous Tekken games over the years. We even see Street Fighter X Tekken utilized here, and after the EWGF get its time in the spotlight, Desk does the same with Heihachi’s headbutt.

The rockin’ track should be enough to get you to click play here, but its the evolution of Heihachi in conjunction with the music that really pushes this music video over the top.
