Recently, the Deputy National Coordinator, National Cash Transfer Office, Dr Janet Ekpenyong led a social protection advocacy to Sokoto State in company of other members of staff where they interacted with relevant stakeholders and state government officials on the National Social Safety Net Program Scale Up (NASSP-SU).
The team dissected cardinal areas of interest and feasible project in the State with a view to strengthening the gains and deepening the collaboration between the Sokoto State Government and the National Cash Transfer Office, Abuja.
Welcoming the team to Sokoto State was a team led by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Muhammad Bello Sifawa, the Chief of Staff to the Governor (CoS) Alhaji Aminu Dikko, Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs Hajia Khadiza Ahmad Shagari, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Alhaji Hayatu Aliyu.

The team also met with the State cash transfer office staff and shared words of encouragement with promises of maximum support towards actualizing shared goals for the benefit of Sokoto State and Nigeria as a whole.
