Job Description:
Surgical Assistance:
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, surgeries, and treatments.
- Prepare and arrange necessary instruments, equipment, and materials for surgeries.
- Ensure a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform regular maintenance on dental equipment and instruments.
- Identify and report any malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate personnel.
- Sterilize and organize instruments to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
Patient Care:
- Comfort and reassure patients before, during, and after dental procedures.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and assist in emergency situations.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of surgical procedures and patient information.
- Update and organize patient files in compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and dental staff for seamless patient care.
- Communicate effectively with dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff.
Compliance:
- Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and guidelines.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated on advancements in dental surgery techniques and technologies.
- Attend relevant workshops, training sessions, and conferences.
Qualifications:
- Certified Dental Surgery Technician or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and handle high-pressure situations.
