Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori was on Saturday conferred with an honorary Doctor of Science degree in Public Policy and Strategy by the Governing Council of Novena University, Ogume.
The conferment took place during the University’s 5th Combined Convocation Ceremony held at the institution’s premises.
In his remarks, Governor Oborevwori commended Dr. Chuks Ochonogor, Founder and Pro-Chancellor of Novena University for his commitment to investing in the nation’s youths and applauded the sacrifices of the academic and non-academic staff for their invaluable contributions to the university’s success.
Addressing the graduating students, Governor Oborevwori encouraged them to embody the values of hard work, discipline, innovation, and honesty while urging them to embrace change as they step into the future.
In recognition of the university’s efforts, he also announced the donation of a 200-capacity hall to enhance the institution’s infrastructure.
