Delaware man accused of fatally shooting his wife and her new boyfriend in murder-suicide

MAGNOLIA, Del. (TCD) — State police allege a man confessed to a family member that he fatally shot his wife and her new boyfriend before killing himself.

According to a news release from the Delaware State Police, on April 29 at around 6:18 p.m., troopers responded to a home on Cilento Drive, where they found 38-year-old Vicky Williams in the front yard with multiple gunshot wounds. Troopers tried to revive Williams, but she was pronounced dead.

Inside the home, officials reportedly found 43-year-old Evan Cablayan deceased from gunshot wounds. State police also found Vicky Williams’ husband, 49-year-old Charles Williams, inside the residence with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Charles Williams allegedly told a family member that he shot his wife and her new boyfriend, and he planned to take his own life.

State police also located three children inside the residence, but they were unharmed.
