Deji speaks out and reveals he had COVID in camp before Alex Wassabi defeat, but vows to fight on and deliver a victory
Deji has vowed to fight on despite suffering his third straight defeat to Alex Wassabi on Saturday night.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer is 0-3 in white collar bouts having previously lost to Jake Paul and Vinnie Hacker.

Deji showed defensive improvements in his latest defeat – and also an increased cardio level – but ultimately was outlanded offensively and so dropped a split decision.
Following the fight, he said in a video on his YouTube channel: “So unfortunately I lost my last boxing fight.
“And I said that if I were to lose, I’d never fight again, and I was serious about that.
“The thing is, I love boxing. Boxing is not just a sport, it’s actually a lifestyle, it’s matured me a lot.
“Midway through a camp I had to switch to a better coach. I got to switch to a brother.
“My current coach now is Daley [Perales]. I only got to experience Daley for six weeks.
“And it was barely even six weeks because he first week was just me getting to know him, the last week doesn’t count because that’s when we’re tapering off and for one of the weeks I got COVID.
“But I’m not making any excuses for myself, I lost fair and square. I lost.
“Realistically I only had three weeks with Daley and in those three weeks he’s not only matured me as a person, but he’s made me a better boxer in three weeks.”

Deji continued: “I’m now 0-3.
“Yeah I only got hit like seven times, yeah I slipped all those punches, but I didn’t throw.
“I watched the fight back and, yeah, I looked sick. You can’t even be like, ‘That’s a terrible effort.’
“I know I looked really, really cool, but the real question is what’s next?…
“Yeah, I failed, three times, but I’m not stopping, I’m coming back.
“I’m gonna carry on boxing and I’m gonna get a victory
“If I had Daley for longer, you know I’d be a monster, so that being said, yes I’m gonna carry on boxing, I’m not gonna quit.
“I wanna be an example for people.
“Yeah, okay I’ve lost, but I’m gonna bounce back, simple as that.
“I’m gonna show you no matter how many times you get beat, you can still pick yourself back up and win.
“Use me as an example. I will get you a victory, I promise you that.
“All those people who support me, I will get you a win.”
