De Facto Governor Frank Ayade Gave The Order For Ottoh Ofem Obono's Sack -By Ifere Paul

As investigation continuous in the sack of the younger brother of Chief Okoi Obono-obla, more information is emerging that Dr Frank Ayade may have been the one who directed that Ottoh Ofem Obono be sacked as a member of the Cross River State waste management board.

Reliable intel from close sources at the government house informed me that Governor Ben Ayade has left the country even before Valentine's Day. The source went on to say that the Governor was out of the country for a rest as advised by his personal physicians. “Governor Ayade who had tried unsuccessfully to have a townhall meeting with crossriverians while in New York cannot be said to be the one calling the shot presently in Calabar”, my source said

“Governor Ayade is not in the State. He is in America for a rest period and treatment for high blood pressure. Frank Ayade cannot possibly tell his brother about the interview Chief Okoi Obono-Obla had on AIT because if he does, he may be aggravating the governor's condition. So, I believe that the governor did not give the directive to sack any one in Cross River State”, another informant concluded.

It is also true that Governor Ben Ayade did not hand over the instrument of governance to his deputy governor before he travelled. He has spent nearly three weeks abroad without the delegation of duties to his deputy.

It is sad that someone who claims that the President of Nigeria is his best friend cannot emulate the President. President Muhammadu Buhari handed over the governance of the country to his Deputy President Osinbanjo for the one week leave he spent abroad.

Why must our governor, the Cross River House of Assembly, and in fact the deputy governor allow Frank Ayade the power to even nominate, appoint, confirm, and sack  appointees in CRS? In whose and what capacity is Frank Ayade acting? Was Frank Ayade included in the ticket of the governorship race?

Have we sold our collective brains to the Ayades? Or is it the fear of the voodoo pot? What is really the problem with us?

Frank Ayade who was arrested and detained by the police in Abuja for having undisclosed amount of money in his trunk was freed two just days ago with by some officials of government who came and signed as sureties for his release.

It is very clear that Cross River State has entered a one chance bus, and Ben Ayade and his little brother Frank Ayade are the driver and conductor respectively.
