Manchester United have reportedly advanced their search for attacking power to bolster United’s offensive play by approaching one of Bayern Munich’s star forwards.
The Red Devils are struggling to convert up top, with the majority of goals coming from their wingers and attacking midfielders, such as Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes.
First choice striker, Rasmus Hojlund has only netted seven goals this season, with the Denmark international now being put “on trial” for the remainder of the season.
However, with the potential departures of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, United are needing a potential replacement for the attack.
Now, to cover both basis, Ruben Amorim is looking to Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel.

Manchester United’s interest in Mathys Tel
The French attacker has routinely played on the left-wing and as a striker, having grabbed 16 goals and seven assists in 82 games since joining Bayern from Stade Rennais in 2022.
Now, with limited game time this season, the 19-year-old announced he wants to leave the German giants by deadline day, sparking interest from several top European clubs.
United joined the race for the winger, if he’s available to be taken on loan this January.
Now, The Athletic have reported that United have contacted Tel’s representatives abut a potential move, however, no contact has been made with Bayern as of yet.
This contact is likely to be proactive though, as the move would only be able to take place if either Rashford or Garnacho left Old Trafford.
