Eddy Gordo has already been announced to be the first DLC character for Tekken 8’s Playable Character Year 1 Pass. He’s slated to be released at some point in spring 2024.
This reveal seemingly confirmed a rumor about Tekken 8’s DLC roster for their first season of fighters. However, a certain dataminer is claiming that we’ll be getting a different set of fighters in this wave instead.
According to the previous rumor, the Playable Character Year 1 Pass is supposed to consist of Eddy Gordo, Armor King, Roger the boxing kangaroo, and a newcomer known as Xiao Meng, but not necessarily in that order beyond Eddy Gordo.
Since Eddy Gordo has already been announced as DLC, many have already accepted this list. The aforementioned dataminer, Shootmans, already has a history of correctly guessing characters for Tekken 8 as they were previously able to reveal characters for the main roster by looking under the hood of public beta builds that preceded the game’s launch.
Shootmans believes that the other characters that will be releasing in summer 2024, autumn 2024, and winter 2024 will be Craig Marduk, Fahkumram, and Lidia Sobieska, though their respective order may be different.
It’s noted that each character has information listed in regards to them. For example, the fighting style of Capoeira and country of origin as Brazil are both listed for Eddy Gordo.
For Marduk, text about him within the code of the game is still listed in the same place as it was in the Closed Network Test version. Additionally, a fighter’s country of origin is stated to be Australia, which is where Marduk is from.
There are also references to a Muay Thai fighter from Thailand within the code. Shootmans is confident that this is a reference to Fahkumram rather than Bruce Irvin.
Finally, Shootmans notes that there are mentions of a character whose country of origin is Poland, though that fighter’s fighting style is currently unlisted. As of right now, Lidia Sobieska is the only combatant in the Tekken series from Poland. Should this leak be accurate, we should expect her fighting style to eventually be listed as Polskie Karate.
Following this, Shootmans then gives a sneak peek at who we should probably expect for Season 2 of DLC for Tekken 8. Similar to how they returned in Tekken 7 via that game’s Season 2 pass, we should theoretically expect to get Anna Williams and Armor King in the second wave for Tekken 8.
As always, it’s best to take every leak and rumor with a grain of salt until we have more information about Bandai Namco’s plans.

For those unfamiliar, I confirmed and debunked several leaks during the CNT (see quote tweet). I will be using the same methods for this.

With Eddy having already been announced, we can see clues to him in the strings. Capoeira is listed as a fighting style in the text for the character select screen. Brazil is also listed as a country of origin for a character. pic.twitter.com/BjU2CtLvcv

We have new evidence for Marduk, the text from the CNT is still there in the same place as last time…https://t.co/Yp0PtL3FX0

…and we also have Australia as a country of origin for a character. pic.twitter.com/2l1lG40w2q

A Muay Thai fighter from Thailand. Fahk fans who aren’t tier whores, rejoice. All 3 of you. Sorry, Bruce enjoyers. He’s dead. pic.twitter.com/Gxzd05QczS

This is 100% Lidia. Couldn’t find a fighting style, but doesn’t matter. She was sort of a T8 character trapped in T7 I think. pic.twitter.com/DqbtHJ5tju

Going off this, I’d say AK and Anna are (once again) S2.
That’s all for now.
Again, too be courteous of others who don’t want spoilers, only retweet the first post in the thread.
