Database Administrator- IT at Ivanhoe Mines

You will have the following:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems NQF 7 Relevant database platform certification (Microsoft SQL 2016 platforms, Azure SQL, Oracle, MYSQL)
Valid Driver’s License
A minimum of 5 years Database Administration experience.
Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL In-depth understanding of database management systems, ETL, database design, documentation and coding Data warehouse design & analytics principle working knowledge Familiarity with programming languages API Knowledge of database structure languages, such as SQL or SQL/PSM SQL Clustering
SQL Always on
MySQL
Replication Knowledge of IT security best practices Knowledge of Project Management – install and rollout of hardware within required project guidelines and timeframes.
Knowledge of financial planning and budgets, submission of database requirements for the group – provide input into the forecasting and planning of budgets.

Design and maintain relational databases
Transform unstructured to structured datasets
Implement and maintain security and accessibility of data
Provide technical support for database end-users
Implement and manage backup and recovery of data
Provide weekly and monthly BI reporting
Support the organisational Skills Transfer agenda
Manage self and show up as a good team player
Monitor cost or expenses to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste
Adhere to and improve reporting processes for the area of responsibility
Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
