Daniel Sturridge & Micah Richards make big Arsenal revelation amid title talk

Daniel Sturridge admitted to being an Arsenal fan while also revealing that Micah Richards was one as well.

The former Liverpool striker has previously admitted to supporting the Gunners growing up via Bleacher Report, while the ex-Manchester City right-back did the same, as per Sky Sports.

As the Birmingham-born pair were in the Sky studios in tandem assessing whether Arsenal can go on and win the Premier League this season, it has surfaced that both of them could consider themselves as a fan of the club to this day.

With both Englishmen growing up during an era where the London-based side were constantly competing for league titles, were managed by the great Arsene Wenger and had legends such as Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira at their disposal, it makes sense why they fell in love with the club.

When Micah Richards asked Daniel Sturridge whether he was an Arsenal fan, the truth came out about the former being one too on Sky Sports.

“Those Arsenal fans will be absolutely buzzing if they could go ahead and do that [win the Premier League].”

Richards asked, “You’re a Gunner, aren’t you? You’re an Arsenal fan.”

Daniel Sturridge replied, “At heart! So are you!”, as the ex-Sky Blues looked away sheepishly, which suggests that he was too and perhaps still may be one.

Arsenal are an easy club to fall in love with

As mentioned earlier, the club remain one of the biggest in England and across the world and alongside their flooded trophy cabinet, their legendary manager and players, their scintillating style of play and iconic kits made them an extremely likeable club in the late 90s.

As a result, it is not a surprise to discover that while Daniel Sturridge was an Arsenal fan, the same was the case with Micah Richards.
